Cabrio Folding Bed with Desk

040308cabrio1.jpgLiving, eating, resting, sleeping in the same place you work (that is, at home) can be as difficult as it is rewarding. While we always appreciate ideas that combine uses and save space, this Cabrio folding bed and desk combo is a little scary...

If you only need the surface now and then, maybe the switch-a-roo woudn't be too bad - or this could work in a guest room/occasional office area. But the idea of literally sleeping with your work is way too much to handle. Design-wise, we like the look but feel the bed would end up taking a serious beating and may not hold up in quality too long. Thoughts??

The Cabrio folding bed with desk is available through UK's Bonbon Trading (sorry, we don't see pricing info).

I've seen this bed for sell through UK and EU outlets for a few years...so someone is buying it...but I have no clue regarding it's durability.

Ugh, this is not designed well at all. As a desk it merely looks like a bed propped up against a wall with a cheap 30 dollar work table against it. But as a bed the table top surface is completely unusable. But I love how the stylist put that trendy orange color on the bed to distract from its clumsy and rather ugly design. Kind of like polishing a piece of dodo.
