West Elm is super trendy. Yet much of what they make looks good and even if it is in the most "of the moment" way possible, sometimes that's just the ticket.
After all, trends in decor come and go - the secret is to grab on when one is in line with your personal aesthetic. When a style really appeals to you it will stick with you long after the trend passes.
The Adler-esque Octagon headboard and Trellis bedding are good examples. We feel like this is a trend nearing its apex - so if you love this late 20th century vibe (it's very upscale decorator circa 1970) now is THE moment to grab something you'll love for a long time.
The headboard starts at $299., the duvet covers are all under $100. and the comforters top out at $159.
Available at West Elm.
A lot of their stuff isn't my cup of tea, but I think this day bed is really lovely.
Has anyone ever tried their sheets? I'm curious about the quality. Thanks.
The sheets are okay (250tc). A bit wrinkled out of the dryer. Their design is sublime for the budget minded, escpecially the canopy bed. A substantial, sturdy piece...
Haven't tried their sheets, but I do have one of their quilts, and it's great.
The headboard makes a big difference to the bed; it almost looks oriental! And that robin's egg blue is v easy on the eyes...jasper conran did a few bedlinens in that colourway; teemed with brown and beige, it was divine!
Haven't tried their sheets, but I do have one of their quilts, and it's great.
Oh Elizabeth, I'm so happy to hear that. Their quilts are gorgeous, but I was nervous about getting one if it turned out to be a dud.
I have the trellis bedlinen shown here and have to say its the softest cotton ever!
Also the bamboo sheets are great!
Thanks West Elm!
