Sensay Bed

020508sensay.jpgThis one reminds us of a pair of twin beds shoved together, but better than that. We're on the fence, but the adjustable dual headboard seems more like a divider than a uniter - even if only in spirit and appearance.

The Sensay bed is just one part of an entire bedroom collection. Available in either natural brown or espresso.

Available at eco-furniture.com (part of Green Culture, "products for an enlightened planet"), the bed is available as a queen or king on sale for $877.10 and $975.10 (30% off).

That bed does look like a divider, unlike Barack Obama. Please vote today.

Everyone should vote for the candidate of their choice in the states where primaries are being held today. Most of us would agree that this year, we have candidates who have made their positions on the issues known and there are clear choices to be made.

I would prefer not to see those individual choices promoted here.

As for the bed, is it designed for people who like to sit up in bed and read or watch television? That headboard looks like the backs of two chairs. It might work out well for that, adding a pillow or two for comfort.

We'd looked at beds like this because of the back support for reading in bed, but we ultimately decided it was a little over-specified (you have to sit up in the position dictated by the bed, no alternatives) and a normal headboard with European pillows would do the job more handily.

Would be perfect for me and the four animals who share my bed most nights. Not so good if the universe ever blesses me with a mate.

I ordered this bed. They sent the wrong center support rail 2 times. They didn't charge me, but I never got the right length support rail. My bed is supported by books. They are also an eco company, but I found their shipping of all that wood very un-eco. They also sent me an extra set of headboards!?! However, the bed is very pretty. When I'm sick, the headboards are great to stack pillows against to read or find a comfortable position.

I have this bed! I love this bed! I'm not a headboard-leaner, so it's not an issue ... otherwise the bed supports all snuggling just fine.

One caveat: the bed is made in indonesia, it's not all hard-wood, there are plywood areas, it is distributed by many retailers online, even costco, who for the same $900 sends in men to put it together. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ordering from them because of all the interminable headaches of having pieces arrive damaged, putting it together with pieces that don't fit when the replacements arrive, etc. Let them be responsible for putting it together, only because then they'll figure out how to make all the disparate pieces fit.

check my very long and detailed story of woe with respect to ordering this bed here:

all the information of where to order it are there. if you scroll down you will get all information. be patient and read. thanks and good luck. like i said, the bed is great, the shipping is not.

clutter 4,

demand that they send you an entire new bed! i did and that is the only way the issue got resolved and the bed got put together. but only after i insisted on them packaging it much better and after many many months of travails and sicking my very good no-nonsense ny businesswoman friend on them (and bad-mouthing them on the internet wherever i could find a mention of their company). they finally appeased me just to wash their hands of me, i think.

I have this bed & love it (got it on craigslist, so no experience with the company). As for the headboards, I don't find it any different from a regular headboard...you need a couple of pillows. Snuggling is not inhibited, and with pillows, sitting up or reclining is not a problem.

maybe mine is a different model, but the headboards are not as curved as they look in the picture. also, they are height adjustable.

Ugh, it always looks like dining room chairs accidentally collided with the bed, and not in a good way!
