We bought new pillows last summer. After an hour (ok, maybe even 90 minutes) in Bed, Bath and Beyond, our son was really getting tired of his parents testing every pillow in sight multiple times. He's patient, but was starting to question our sanity - how hard is it to choose a pillow?
Well, for anyone who's ever bought new pillows only to discover how crummmy they are after a few nights sleep, it is a big deal. We really wanted to love our new pillows this time...
And we do - from night one until now, they are perfect. The Radiance Side Sleepers are lofty enough to prop up for reading, yet not too un-yielding for a comfy sleep. They are a down alternative - a "micro-gel" is the fill - which sounds icky but feels lovely.
We bought two king size pillows, which at 69.99 each made for an $150. pillow purchase with tax - not super crazy, but not entirely budget friendly either. All we can say is, we'd spend it again tomorrow for these pillows - we gladly categorize them as a "best product".
Available at Bed, Bath and Beyond - and as always, remember your 20% off coupon when shopping here (you know you have one set aside somewhere!)
And if you do buy a pillow that turns out to be really crummy like we did once, you can always return to Bed Bath and Beyond, no questions asked! I seriously love their return policy.
I still dream about the pillows at the Amalfi Hotel, where I stayed last October on a quick trip to Chicago. I've called multiple times and can't get anyone to follow up with me. Can any kind Chi-town souls fill me in?
Does anyone have any insight as to how these shape up to the Tempur Pedic pillows? (no pun intended!) I am on my second Tempur Pedic pillow (Contour Deluxe) after trying the Comfort Pillow for a month. I don't know if it's just me, but it's not working out as magically as it's supposed to. Any thoughts?
re: hotel pillows
I fell in love with pillows at the Westin in San Diego. We checked the label and a quick google search led us to Pacific Pillows (http://www.pacificpillows.com/).
According to their website, they supply pillows and bedding to the Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, Hilton, DoubleTree, and Hyatt hotel chains, but I was still able to find the exact pillow I was looking for.
We recently bought pillows from the Fairmont hotel. They are divine. We had stayed in their Scottsdale location and loved the bed and the pillows so decided to get them when we got back. Down and feather. King size, $50 each. I'm considering buying more.
