apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

We recently received this "trashy" gift from some friends: the Canyon waste basket. Never would we have imagined loving and thinking so much about a waste basket!

The simple lines and beautiful walnut have us considering using it for something other than trash. At a good size (8" sq. and 11.75 H), its multipurpose functionality matches up to its sophisticated style.

A few considerations:

• to hold extra toilet paper rolls


• use as an umbrella holder


• fill with branches/twigs for a floor or table centerpiece (see Sarah's earlier How To post)
