Blogging Blueprint and Bluelines: Chicago Style

2008-01-02-binth.jpgThe final issue of Blueprint (sniffle, sob) features the home of a Chicago Creative Director, Suzanna Bierwirth of Binth. Suzanna shares an 1879 townhome with her son in Lincoln Park and we really liked the peek at the family abode...and as a follow-up, Blueprint's sister blog, Bluelines, has posted photos of her workspace as well, the Binth studio...

Sadly, there are no photos of the residence online, so you'll have to take our word for it - Bierwirth's home is sunny and cozy (3 small floors), vintage-y and well suited for family life, yet manages to also appear very crisp and contemporary due to the mix of the strict color palette and the accompanying finishes. The dark grey walls (Pratt and Lambert Rialto) contrast with shiny white fixtures in the bath, another dark blue/grey (Pratt and Lambert Anubis) wall surrounds a creamy marble fireplace and a warm pale grey (Pratt and Lambert Windham) combines with a powdery blue velvet settee.

The studio is documented on the Bluelines site; the photo above includes a painting by Anna Kunz (a teacher at Northwestern and the Art Institute) and white Eames dining chairs.

Does anyone know what happens if you have a subscription to Blueprint? Will you get a refund for the remaining issues, or will they send you some other magazine in its place?

I got this issue and it included a subscription renewal notice. That's real nice!

In my experience they just send you some other magazine in its place.
