010808Feature_Another_7.jpgFirst and foremost, we were thrilled to see house tour participant Andreas' place in this issue (his Greektown loft graced our front page in June '06). A regular photographer for Chicago Home, Andreas opened up his home to show the transformation from dark and heavy to light and open - and shared a lot of his tips and mistakes along the way.

More from this issue: Another Life to Live - Luxury, charm, and room for floor hockey in a family's modern Gold Coast condo (pictured above), p. 100.

As usual, the magazine was chock full of great products, striking interiors, and interviews with industry professionals:

p. 26, Makers' Mark: Three furniture makers/designers to watch...Michael Dreeben of Dreeben; Jonathan Nesci of Hale; Seth Deysach of Lagomorph.

010808Goods_Gilty.jpgp. 16, Gilty Pleasures: Wood trays in burnished gold with mirror insets (above)

p. 46, The Apprentices - At home with Nate Berkus's right-hand women: Check out the homes of two designing women.

p. 71, Best of Chicago Design: Tips from experts and designophiles on where to buy and "great sources for expert services."
