It's been on newstands a few weeks already, but having visited Chicago's Green Festival over the weekend, we sat in on Chicago magazine's green awards discussion.
On Saturday, Chicago editors honored 8 individuals who they believe are really making a "cleaner, smarter kind of progress" toward a more environmentally-friendly Chicago.
They are:
Abby Mandel, founder of Chicago's Green City Market
Bill Sturm and Marty Serena, architects
Josh Deth, bike advocate
Rev. Clare Butterfield and Shireen Pishdadi, faith-based environmentalists
Ori Sivan and Joe Silver, Greenmaker Supply Company
Thanks to editors Cassie Walker and Nora O'Donnell, the brains and passion behind the first-ever Green Awards.
