Our pick for the best of the May issue of Domino: The multipage spread entitled Viennese Revival (pages 114 -121). You can't really go wrong with Josef Hoffmann's work as the inspiration, but the translation to modern rooms and goods really works. The colors, shapes and patterns look fresh to us - a bit country/crafty, yet more iconic than peasant.
Wiener Werkstatte fabrics, bentwood furniture, repeating patterns and grids and lots of black and white (with intense color here and there to set it off) are signatures of this look.
A few favorite finds from the Domino piece:
Osborne and Little Minaret wallpaper.
Pearl embroidered sheet set.
Muddus drop leaf table in red.
Polka dot wallpaper by Studio Printworks.
Intensely sunny yellow paint - Olympic Paints Sun Shower #A14-4.
For more details and the rest of the Viennese inspired rooms, see the May issue of Domino.
Not a good issue this month . . . dissapointed Blue Print was actually better.

I've been disappointed with the last two issues of Dominio, it went from a magazine a want to keep and hoard forever to making me want to cancel my subscription. I only enjoyed two articles, the one about laundry and the one about creating a name for someone's style.
