Blogging Time Out Chicago: Loop Issue

051707loop.jpgThis week's Time Out is called the "Loop Survival Guide." Among the restaurant, parking, and shopping tips, the editors also covered some must-know bits of history and "notes from underground."

Of most significance to AT readers, however, is the section "Living Large" (p. 22), which details why the Loop is an ideal place to live for many Chicagoans (we bet Devyn, a.k.a. Looper, would have something to say about this!).

"Oh, the places you'll go" (p. 23) covers the Great Chicago Places and Spaces festival happening this weekend (featuring more than 200 free tours).

Some interesting $$ facts about living downtown:

Average one-bedroom rent, 2007: $1,600
Average condo price, 2007: $427,535
Average condo price, 1997: $185,367
(boundaries: Lake St, Wabash Ave, Wells St, and Van Buren St)

How many AT readers live in the LOOP??
