In the current issue of Metropolitan Home, Lisa Skolnik presented a fantastic Chicago townhome located in Lincoln Park owned by the son of Bertrand Goldberg, architect Geoffrey Goldberg and his family. The living room, shown above, features a Cassina sofa by Philippe Starck, Serge Mouille lighting, Bertrand Goldberg end tables, Irving Sabo chairs and a vintage Jean Arp tapestry.

Gorgeous and clean. That sconce = life. And the floor to ceiling drapes at that scale are both dramatic and modern. Waking up here would be nice.

I love the wide dining table. The blue drape that hangs 20 feet is beautiful.

it's all very tasteful and, aside from the dramatic drapes, to me it seems a bit bland and just lacking in personality; it could be anyone's house; heck, it could be a catalog shoot. what's with all the tables with only 2 chairs?
afraid of friends dropping by so you limit the seating in a space that size?

I think it's beautiful but very icy. It would be like living in a museum - beautiful to look at, but not someplace that seems all that inviting.
