Pillow Planter

071708-planter.jpgWe fell in love with this pillow shaped pot. The word "pot" even seems a bit far fetched for this container, however plants seem to love it. If we were plants we'd surely love to call it home. It's made exclusively from PVC foam for hydroculture friendly plants. More after the jump...

Planting indoors brings a fresh breath of air to your room and into your space in general. They make us happy and truly round out most spaces.

Planting in a traditional pot now feels clunky in comparison to this "bag" of sorts, which was designed by Martino D'Esposito. You can check out more at Productdose and although we have no idea on pricing, but we'd love to get our hands on some.

If we use “green” as a benchmark, this thing is black. For one thing, how in the world would you get the plant out of this planter without destroying it when it needs to be repotted? And what’s the story about “hydroculture”. Is it meant for expanded clay pebble media? What is unique about it other than it looks like a pillow?

As a blogger, I appreciate that we’re all looking for buzz but unfortunately in the container plant world buzz is usually synonymous with baloney and products that never reach the market.

Better we should make "green" sub-irrigation planters from recycled pop/soda bottles.

It reminds me of this great vase from Mermaid Hut:
