Vintage Metal Storage Cabinet
Canadian Family

0324_cf1.jpg

The kitchen is the pride and joy of Dish Cooking Studio founder Trish Magwood's home. The home was recently featured by Canadian Family, and while we enjoyed a look at the modern household in its entirety, our favorite room was the kitchen. In particular, this vintage metal storage cabinet...

The rest of the kitchen cabinetry has a light wood finish. The contrast of this cabinet breaks up the monotony and creates a hand-picked, pieced-together look. What we'd give for a cabinet like this in our own kitchen!

That is entirely fantastic- and perfect for blending the inherent industrial aesthetic of modern stainless appliances with the warmth of wood cabinetry.

Must be easy to clean too!

On a side note, what a fantastic collection of practical dishes- just enough of each thing, classic white, nothing frou-frou.

I cannot express how much I love this cabinet. It would be great to see something similar as an option in ready-made cabinetry.

That's really cool - I bet it's a great place to store the penicillin!

I don't work for them - I just drool over the images they post on CL. They used to have a pic of the 4 over 4 large cabinet install in the eat in area of a kitchen - amazing!

(You know, for the home I still can't afford despite the alleged recession.)

Both SS21 and The Industrialists on Market Street specialize in these types of cabinets. I can't afford either of them, but oh the eye candy.

Actually, just checked out the rest of the house, and it looks great -- wish there were more pictures. Especially love the dining table.

Miss this magazine -- used to pick it up the the ob/gyn's waiting room for free when I was pregnant... (they gave away piles of them every month)
