Elle Decor focused in on Atlanta in the latest issue with a roundup of all the spots to visit, stay, eat and shop. We went and virtually checked out some of the home shops on the list - jump below to do the online tour:

Belvedere - Elegant 20th Century Furniture and Decor

Space - Modern Furniture Showroom

Pieces - Lacquered Vintage Furniture

Retromodern - Contemporary Furniture & Accessories
All of the shops sound like ones we'd like to visit and we'd like to know more - can the readers who know Atlanta give us the scoop on these and possibly add to the list?
See the May issue of Elle Decor for the complete list.
I'm going to Atlanta in a couple of weeks and can't wait to check out Space. I've been there before, but they change the store displays more frequently than they update their website, so there should be lots to see.
Retromodern is just across the street and much smaller than you'd think it would be.

You should also go to Miami Circle off of Peidmont

You should also go see Victory Vintage in Decatur..their selection is more vast than the website shows--great lampshades and housewares in addition to their amazing mid-century modern furniture:

You should go to Star Provisions which is near Belvedere. Part food shop, part tabletop shop, with the fabulous Bacchanalia restaurant in the back - it is THE place to go for the Atlanta foodie.
They have great seasonal dishes and glassware, the prettiest mixing spoons and other cooking tools, vintage style aprons, and old fashioned penny candy! Stop here if you want to find pieces for a whimsical centerpiece or a great cookie.

Agree. Bizarrely, I'm about to leave to head over there to buy some truffle oil!

Please don't miss Providence Antiques in Morningside: http://www.providenceantiques.com/. It is wonderful! Their collection is far greater than their website.

Another good place is City Issue (http://www.cityissue.com/) which recently moved to Inman Park.
Also, Retromodern has actually moved as well, so it's not across from Space anymore. It's now in West Midtown kind of close to Star Provisions. (http://www.retromodern.com/)
