Great Site: knitty

2006-10-19-knittycutie.jpgWe can't believe we didn't blog this sooner - we have been knitty-crazy for years now. It might be the shift to fall that got yarn projects back on our mind.

knitty is a dream come true for obsessed crafters - a FREE online "magazine" featuring patterns (nice ones, not dorky) how-to's, tips and articles by some of the smartest knitters on the web.

Winter evenings at home just wouldn't be the same without knitting. A basket with a current project is usually floating around our main living area - it's such a good way to sit and relax but not JUST sit and relax...

Pattern books and mags (and yarn!) can be very pricey, so when something so good comes along that's free, it's good to pass it on.

Yay, Knitty!

I'm actually just about to start my latest knitty pattern. Does anyone know of a knitting cafe in Chicago? There are several in NYC that sell yarn and books, but also serve coffee and/or just promote knitting in the shop.

Once upon a time I was a knit-blog junkie -- and the newest issue of Knitty still makes for a very happy day for me. Great to see the plug for them! Amy Singer is a hero.
