Where did she find so many pink books?

amazingly beautiful spaces, but as to Rebecca_South's comment, I always find it so contrived when people's books are so impeccibly color-coordinated. something tells me she's not reading all those things.

re: the books

i know at the strand you can custom-order used books by the color or by the style, in case you want to decorate your house but don't actually want to read any books

Maybe they're all the same book? it's really weird to me. They're all the same size, same color--must the same book, right?

I guess it looks pretty.

I bet those are multiple copies of her own books. I don't own any of her work, but I bet they are bound in pink and red, being chick lit.

You can also make dust covers for books in any shade you like.

...but in Bushnell's case, I bet they ARE all the same book (or books): her own, which I'm sure come in pink...

The spine of Four Blondes is pink...I own it and display it occasionally for the colour. After I'd read it, of course.

Yeah, those look like her own books. Tacky.

SJP's blue, green, and black dining area is lovely.

Great fun to see how the styled crowd lives...but I must say, it's snarky (a word I've learned from these posts) to suggest that Bushnell might be less than what/who she's capable of being for displaying her published works. While I'm not a SATC fanatic, I think she's being entirely consistent by lining her shelves with the book that put her on the map. Besides, pink is a great color.

I don't get it. I found most of the rooms very unappealing.

I wasn't being in the least snarky about Bushnell displaying multiples of her books anymore than I would snark about an artist displaying her own paintings in her own home (which you see a lot of on AT, and nobody ever says that's tacky). Why shouldn't people be proud of their creative accomplishments? As for why so many copies....authors usually get a box of freebies from the publisher, and it's handy to have them around, since many friends and relatives will expect free copies.
