Shopping in Chicago: West Chicagoland Resale & Thrift Map

thriftmap010909.jpgReady to go on "the hunt" for some second hand finds for the home? Barry sent us this handy dandy driving map that he created over the break to make the trip...

...a little easier if you are heading west.

Here is a link to Barry's post about the map which includes this link to a larger version on Google Maps.

The map covers over 10 stores, including Jubilee Thrift, which Sarah visited last year.

And, if you do go hunting, good luck and be sure to send us in a review and tell us about your finds!

Thanks Barry!

Wow, Barry -- thanks. I'm right in the western suburbs so I really appreciate these resources. I keep meaning to get over to Jubilee (I'm about 10 mins away), so maybe this is the push I needed!

Glad you'll find it useful outonalimb_2008. So many people have asked where all these great thrifts are located, so I thought I would share with the AT community in the hopes others might enjoy. It's no means exhaustive, so if you know others that are worthy in this vicinity, let me know and I'll update the map.

Great map, so now here's another question. Does anybody know what happened to the resale/reuse place that used to be in Countryside (on 55th Street I think)? They were featured on Wild Chicago years ago, and I got some great deals - a real bargain - on mcm lighting there.
