Over the weekend we made our first trip to Wood World. Finally ready to tackle some of the bigger projects looming at home, we browsed the maples, birches, walnuts, teaks, etc. and spent a ridiculously long time touching and looking (and comparing prices).
With two cats running around the place aimlessly and several staff members around for assistance and advice, we made a few check marks on the price list for things to consider (walnut veneer plywood?). Another rather exciting aspect to the place was the large selection of solid pre-cut pieces. If you're doing something small and have a clear idea of what you need, this is a great way to go.
