Modern Lincoln Park Home
Contemporist

This modern home, featured on Contemporist, was designed by Chicago architects Lohan Anderson and decorated by interior design firm Leslie Jones & Associates. Our favorite part of the house is the way it connects to the outdoors, with large windows that have views of the trees outside, and glass sliding doors that open onto a dining patio...

A stone wall encloses gardens on the front and back of the house, and a roof deck provides additional space for summer dinner parties. It's a home built for entertaining - open floorplans create plenty of spaces to relax inside and out. Although it seems crazy to think about outdoor parties during our cold Midwestern winter, we bet the owners will spend many mild Chicago summers hanging out in the garden. I love this house! I like how it's clearly modern, yet they tied the exterior materials and scale to its more historic (and historic-inspired) neighbors. I love the airy and bright feeling of the interior and the warm materials used throughtout that give it a homier feeling than many modern houses have. And it's even in my neighborhood! Just not my price range...

Two city lots, not blocks, Tiffany. Two blocks would be a monstrosity!

Those recessed light fixtures are $400 a piece, and I see like 60, 70?
