2008-03-20-chimap.png
Rita Konig, Domino contributing editor (and blogger) is coming to Chicago on the 24th to put together a story on the cool home stores that we all know and love. She asked for feedback on where she should visit - who better to help out than the readers of AT:Chicago? Jump below to check out a list of the recommendations she's gotten so far and please add to the list in the comments...

We think the info she's gotten so far on her blog entry is really great (were happy to say that most of them are in our always growing store guide). Pagoda Red has cool stuff and it's a beautiful space.

There's a store on Western south of Chicago (west side of the street) that looks interesting. It has modern furniture in the window, but I can't think of the name. It might start with an "e."

Anyone been there?

Twosided is actually at 2958 N. Clark -- I just looked it up because I didn't remember anything like that at Clark & Wrightwood, which I pass by daily...

I'll also mention Lightology since I work for the company and hadn't seen it mentioned yet. Our 20,000 sq. ft. modern lighting showroom at 215 W. Chicago Ave. is quite impressive!

I tend to find nice little things at Willow. And if you are in the neighborhood I recommend stopping by Milk & Honey for some yogurt and granola. My favorite breakfast! I also second the recommendation for Holly Hunt (since she is local and my husband works there), but she does have showrooms in other cities and NYC's is actually a bit better.

My BF lives in Carol Springs and he checked out Jubilee Furniture for me after it was posted on AT the first time. He said it was nothing special.

I insisted on seeing it in person, so we went by this past weekend. I would hardly call it a treasure-trove of MCM! Definitely NOT worth the trip in from downtown. Oh, unless you need a lot of HON office furniture.
