Dirt Devil Kwik: The USB Dust Fighter

110608-dirtdevilkwik.jpg The battle against dust is never ending. Dusting is also usually at the top of most people's "hate to do list." It's a never ending challenge and one we love to throw money and new gadgets at. Click through the jump to see how this Dirt Devil Kwik can tackle your home office with a quick plug in!

This pint size product caught our eye while we were wandering the clearance end caps at Target (there's no shame in finding great bargains!). It's the new Dirt Devil Kwik. It has a sleek and trim design with all the great sucking power (the 15 yr old in us just giggled) you would expect from the Dirt Devil name. It's being suggested for use in your home office, car, and other small spaces such as drawers and home electronics.

It retails for $36.12 on Amazon (on sale) and for $32.99 from Dirt Devil themselves.

The user comments on Amazon only have one negative thing to say about the product and it has to do with how it charges. The Dirt Devil Kwik is charged exclusively through your USB port on your computer. Which is great if you have extra room in your home office, but logistically scary for those of us who might already have full power bars and little room to spare.

Why is this even posted - is AT becoming the "Imported Plastic Crap Shopping Network"?

Why not just use the dusting wand on your existing vacuum cleaner instead of spending another $40 bucks after tax and shipping on another gizmo to clutter your life?

It's cute looking but I use my regular vacuum to clean out my keyboard and my lambswool duster works beautifully to dust everything from my monitor to everything else around the house.

Another vote for "plastic crap".. I don't see what this does that duster attachment on my vacuum can't. Unless I'm supposed to savor the dusting experience one square inch at time.. ?
