Perhaps this is not the most glamorous roundup ever to appear on Apartment Therapy, but it is a good one to take a look at if you've been living without an organized area for your cleaning tools. We have a small utility closet in our kitchen and the super simple fix of getting the floor duster, broom, mop and dusters up and off the floor and into an organizer created lots more room and a much more organized space. We rounded up
five to consider, in varying styles and price points...
Shown above, from left to right:
1. OXO Wall-Mounted Organizer for $24.95 at Solutions (which, as shown, can double as an "anything" organizer)
2. 5 Position Magic Mop Hanger by Evriholder Products for $11.99 at Organize.com
3. Grook Tool Holder - 5 Hook for $19.99 at The Container Store
4. Closetmaid Broom & Mop Holder for $7.99 at Target
5. Multi Mop and Broom Organizer for $6.99 at Stacks and Stacks

I like this! I have been looking for a good tool holder for my utility closet. I have one over-the-door hanger for mops, brooms, brushes and the stick vac. But I have been looking for something space-saving that I can mount on the back wall of the closet to hold the rake, snow shovel, weedeater and outdoor extension cords. I was looking for a solution that I don't have to mount permanently because I am renting the house I live in.

KWorld, where did you get your over-the-door hanger? I have been looking for something like that. Thanks!

I have the Magic Mop Hanger that I got at Container Store. Works great.

I also have #2 the Magic Mop Hanger and love it. Holds the skinny swiffer handle and thicker broom and mop perfectly, and it was simple to install.

Does anyone know of an organizer that slides out? I want to put mine in the small space between my refrigerator and tall cabinet, so it would be nice if I could pull it out to retrieve and replace my broom, mop, swiffer, etc...

Indie Mom,
There is a version of the Magic Mop Hanger that slides out. It cost about $20. Overall, I really like the Grook because it is nice and compact and it holds my mops very securely. I can make that statement because I have actually tested a lot of these products. Fortunately, for this post/article I discovered the Grook, which I love. Thanks AP.
