Two islands offer seating and storage. An overhead steel rack keeps pots and pans reachable but out of the way.
Of course perfection can be a little bit off-putting, but a glimpse at Martha Stewart's kitchen is pretty enticing. Things we love: food and plants are the only things commanding attention with color; warm neutrals (wood and - gasp! - beige) and cool tones (grays) combine for a soothing simplicity; islands allow for cooking, eating, and great flow. In a perfect life, I would have a Cappuccino Counter like Martha's.

I agree. Very ahead. My dream is also to have a "cappucino counter"! I have been scrolling through these photos many times on her webpage and this might be the perfect kitchen. I also like the dark look of the place.
I don't know but the stools look like french TOLIX knock-offs.

Not so much ahead of her time, but someone who does "classic" very well. Just doesn't go out of style!

The "servery"? What the heck is that? She does have a SERIOUS number of dishes!

People call her out-of-date, yet she was on top of the grey trend a full five years ago. Heck, she's probably the one who started it!
