Bee House Teapot: It's perfect

2006-05-12-orangetea.jpg We use our teapot everyday and love it. We have had this Bee House teapot for years and it is simply the absolute perfect size. It has a built in loose tea holder for when we go the fancy route, or we can just pop in a bag of Trader Joe's organic green (our current favorite).

Made in Japan, these pots are available in a glorious array of colors. A quick run through the dishwasher keeps it looking exactly as it did the day we brought it home.

Multiple sizes are available, and prices range from around $25 to $50.
In Chicago we've seen them at Argo and Peet's.

Do you use this teapot for heating the water or simply for serving?

I use a kettle to heat the water and use this one for brewing and serving. In fact, I'm using it right now...

The metal lid and interior tea holder lift right off so you could put this in the microwave, if you wanted to heat your water that way.

A teapot is only as good as what it holds inside. :)

That being said, I like to fill my Beehouse with oolong teas from Ten Ren or blended French teas from Le Palais Des Thes.
