041609fp.jpgLast summer we happily recalled fashion plates - that 70s-80s semi-artistic treasure for kids everywhere. Some toys and activities are just too cool to go away, so we think this would make a great gift in 2009 if you still have your old set to pass down or are able to score one on eBay. If you're lucky enough to still have old "drawings" stored somewhere, dig them out for framing....

whoa.

I *love love loved* Fashion Plates. I must have burned days and days and entire acres of forest land playing with that thing.

Fashon Plates were in my top 5 favorite toys as a child. I only wish I still had mine. I could ask my dad, he keeps EVERYTHING. He recently gave me back my sewing machine I used when I was around 7. SO COOL!

Oh my gosh... I had this when I was little but had forgotten all about it until seeing it here. I must search my parents' house for old "drawings"...

Remember "Little Van Goes"? Before there were mini-vans. So much fun.
