Wood and White Dining Rooms from E15

11-31-08table1.jpg

We've got a thing for wood and white in the dining room, so when we spotted these rooms from German company E15, we were smitten. Many of these arrangements also make use of another favorite theme: the simple wooden dining table with "other" chairs. You can't get much more classic modern than this...

Chances are, the artwork in the first picture is by Anselm Reyle.

I have to agree, e15 furniture is beautiful -- but why must it cost so much? If I'm not mistaken, I think those dining tables easily start at the $8000 range, and many go up well into the $10-20K range or more.

A similar and equally nice table can easily be found for much less from one of my favorite designers, Gus*:

The Hans Wegner chairs posed with the e15 table aren't cheap either, about $3000 each.

i am nowhere sophisticated enough to appreciate this. it looks like someone just moved in and the only thing they had time to set up is the dining room table.

All. Those. Wishbone. Chairs. Gasp!

A table can be any flat surface, but a truly great chair is hard to find!
