We were instantly greeted by owner, Laurie Richter, and were completely won over by the selection of green items and natural toys for children. Speaking with Laurie, she said, "I decided to open my eco-friendly gift shop after hearing people complain that it's hard to find good, affordable, unique gifts in Berwyn. I combined my years of experience in the giftware industry with my passion for helping people and the planet."

The presentation of the wares is charming and inviting as folding doors, a vintage school desk and a bassinets all serve as displays chockful of great items.

Laurie stocks Fly Right with Pacifica and Mudlark candles, bath and body products; jewelry recycled from industrial materials; Olive Owl soaps and lip balms; Moda Home vintage-inspired home textiles; Green papergoods from Pop Ink, Loose Petals and Good on Paper; Sjaak's organic chocolates, a great variety of locally handmade gifts for babies and women and CDs from local Berwyn bands.

Our favorites in all of Fly Rights’ goods include the 100% post-consumer recycled plastic totes and coin purses by Blue Q and the water bottles from Affirm.

If you have pets, children or both, Fly Right has some nice selections from West Paw which makes recycled pet toys, Gulpy pet water bottles and a ton of natural toys from Melissa & Doug and Lauri.

While Fly Right Gifts currently does not sell online, that option is coming soon. Laurie also maintains a store blog which features more information on the store's happenings and inventory. Laurie also adds, "I hope that shopping here is a warm and comfortable experience for people, and I believe in old-fashioned customer service--free gift wrapping, gift registry (for kids and adults), and I can order things for you, if I don't carry them."
