apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

In my family's new Rogers Park neighborhood, we joined in on a block party earlier this summer. Knowing it was coming up but having a schedule conflict, we missed the evening cookout but made it around for an afternoon of water balloons, ping-pong, a couple beers, and most importantly, getting to know our neighbors. It felt really great to figure out who lives where, where they came from, how long they've lived on our street, and how much they like it. Organized by the block south of us, the neighbors graciously extended the invite to all surrounding blocks, including us. How neighborly!
