We were lucky enough to sample this amazing spread last night. All the elements of a fun party were there: good friends, food, and music. The best part? We got to kick off our week with that rare treat, the Monday evening dinner party...
Weeknight Dinner Parties
Attending a dinner party on a summer weeknight is so much fun. Nothing is better for removing oneself from the stress of the work week than relaxing with friends and having a good meal.
The music was great: old records from the 60s and 70s.
Fried zucchini...so good.
The beet salad looked and tasted amazing.
Our lovely hostess, Molly.
Chicago decks are the best.
Dessert: ice cream with raspberries and hazelnuts.
Thanks to Tom, Molly, and Ellen for a great dinner party and for putting up with their friend who couldn't stop taking photos of the food!

sarahc: we had an impromptu dinner with a couple friends last night too. they brought the food, we just provided the table, dinnerware and music (stevie wonder records). i thought the same thing about the random summer monday night feast. i love summer. thanks for sharing the great photos.
what is that intricate wood piece on the window? is it built into the frame or was it added later? so pretty!

Heather, the wood details came with Tom and Molly's condo, but I think the piece may have been added to the frame at some point. So funny that you had the same experience last night!

We got together with friends last night as well. (as usual) . A group of us gather for what we call "Lazy Monday". Food is always involved, sometimes movie or games or swimming, but usually we just spend time communing and getting to know others better-great fun
