This seems like a great time to ask this question -- I've long admired the aesthetics of these wood mats, but I have this strong fear that, with wet feet, they will be very slippery. Can users of them comment on this? Are they slippy when wet, or do they have a surface texture that offers good traction? Thanks!

Ooh, great tip. I really need to get something for wet boots but have been resisting purchasing a plastic tray because I hate the look. This may be my solution!

Hi rdml, I own the wooden mat from Crate, however I use a bath rug on top of it when I step out of the shower, so I never step directly on it with wet feet. It does tend to not sit firmly still on my bathroom floor though :\

That's a beautiful bath mat...
We have a bound carpet remnant that sits in the side entrance we use the most, and it's big enough to leave our wet shoes on as well as to walk in on, protecting the hardwood floors before we get our shoes off... Not as aesthetic as a beautiful mat, but more pragmatic for our purposes.
