We heard from Mara Snipes today. She is a local textile designer and screenprinter who works from her home based studio in Lincoln Square and does printing at Lillstreet Studios. We really like the look of her work, which is now available at her new Etsy shop called Maramiki. More from Mara below:

About her work: My images are drawn by hand, then screenprinted onto linen or cotton. My inspiration comes from nature, be it an amazing botanical garden, a friend's backyard, or a plant in my house looking at me in a certain way. So I pick up my pen, draw, and forget about the iced coffee melting at my feet...
