Today (or yesterday for those who weren't off for Columbus Day) we embark on Week One, which is all about creating a vision for your space. Deep Treatment folks are cleaning, decluttering, and making lists of repairs. Those doing the One-Room Workout are starting a style tray, setting a budget, and looking for inspiration. I put out some hand-me-down, heavy library chairs that I was using for a table we have in the bedroom. I have six matching dining chairs and only use two, so why did I have even more chairs in the bedroom...especially since I didn't like those?
Before I could take a picture (while I was sitting in an unfrequented area for 10 minutes), they were gone. While I hope I didn't add to someone else's clutter, it makes me happy to think that someone who wants them now has them, instead of them cluttering up my house unwanted or ending up in the trash. :)

Well done, Mrs.Mack! It's amazing how quickly things disappear sometimes.
I've just put together a "before" set on Flickr -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/84796198@N00/sets/72157608009663793/
and I've blogged my answers to last week's Cure Interview -- http://serenityathome.blogspot.com/2008/10/at-rides-again.html
I'm taking an unused phone up to my parents' apartment (they live in another apartment in the same building as I do, they're 95 and 87 years of age) -- can that count as my "one thing" to get rid of this week? Most of my decluttering was done in previous Cures (except for the mounds of paper that have built up... I'm going to be doing a lot of shredding.) My mother has decided it's time for her to do some major decluttering, and I've offered to store a lot of china and whatnot in my unused kitchen cupboards (I was *very* ruthless when I did my kitchen decluttering), so I'll actually be adding stuff to my apartment rather than taking away, but it would have to be done sometime, might as well be now.

Does anyone know where I can find that piggy bank? It's adorable and the only photo that doesn't have photo stream link.

East Village Amy -- It's from target. We got two with checks inside (yay!) for wedding presents last year. I didn't see it on their website, but I think they're still available in stores. If not, search "chrome pig bank"...a few similar options came up.
