gridpaper. is still keeping things fresh with weekly flowers. Even when your house is a wreck with sorting clutter from our various spaces a glance at a great vase of flowers can really brighten our mood!
We are on the Home Run stretch with Midwest Fall Cure. We have done a great deal of busy work over the last few weeks and decluttered with the rest of the Cure participants from around the country. This week it's time to slow down a bit and help accent our home with the things that really make it feel like "home." We're working in our bathrooms and taking a long look at our lighting (one of the most important things in our spaces!). Eating at home should be coming naturally and be less frustrating here at the week 6 marker (don't forget to show us what you're eating in the Midwest Flickr pool!). So click through the jump to see all the tricks that week 6 has up it's sleeve.

lilithslair has a small collection of coordinating glassware from different era's. Keeping your collections small cuts down on visual clutter and makes you keep only the pieces you truly love!
Weekly Assignment (Deep Treatment): The work load this week lightens up a bit. If you're behind, use this week to catch up. If you're ahead, give yourself a pat on the back. We're cleaning and decluttering the bathroom and treating ourselves to some small indulgences - a nice soap or scented candle can make a big difference in the bathroom.
Home_For_2 has been busy sorting through books for ones that might be best if donated. Sorting books can be difficult as most feel very personal to us! Check out the next photo for the results of this great sorting process!
Weekly Assignment (One Room Workout): You'll be working on lighting and painting this week. Arrange at least 3 points of light in your room from bright, concentrated light to soft, ambient light. For inspiration, see our lighting archives. For tips on how to paint a room, see this post.
The sorting of Home_For_2's books resulted in a color coded system on a perfect size bookshelf. Nice work!

well, we had a nasty flu virus go through our house the last few weeks slowing my progress to almost a stop. BUT- I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now (I hope)
I did manage to remove 41 lbs. of unwanted clothing from our closets this week and donate them to the local thrift store. Yes, I wrote 41 lbs.
THis week I am working on our bathroom, the kitchen and the laundry. (playing a bit of catch up)

Lorijo you're not the only one... my husband and I donated 15 bags of clothes and could still stand to donate more. It's a great feeling to know the closet is finally cured!
