Midwest Fall Cure: Week Six - A Restful Weekend

112108-fallcure3.jpg

very_lame tackled the chore of painting her entryway and living room. A daunting task to anyone, let alone picking out the perfect shade of grey. Nice work!

4-14-08curelogo.jpg Week Six catches us on the downhill for the Midwest Fall Cure. And like most downhill slopes it's time to kick up your feet and enjoy the ride. We have seen a great deal of hard work and improvement in all of your homes via the Midwest Flick Pool, so a little rest and relaxation is in order. This weekend can be a true test to see if the changes you have made are allowing your home to function in the manner you need it to.
Click through the jump for this week's list of challenges and check out some helpful links to making week 6 a success.

I could really use some input on my living room and bedroom layout. The living room seems to be okay, but I'm a little tired of it. Unfortunately I can't think of anything else that wouldn't make the room feel crowded.

The bedroom just needs help. Period.

I'm feeling rather lost and defeated. I've gotten lots of little things done, but nothing that makes you go "Wow!" when you walk into the room (not being able to paint is really killing me, since that's what I really want to do).

I would love to know what brand/shade gray you chose! It's beautiful.

Aww, you made me a before & after! Thanks!!

The paint colour is a Canadian brand called Sico (low VOC), and the shade is Obscure Sky

Mrs. Mack- first, pick up the clutter! Put as much of it out of sight as you can. Then, consolidate the shelving and get rid of the one made of particle board.
Could you paint one wall, and paint it back when you move out? That place really needs some color and texture.
Other than that, I can't really tell anything more from the photos.

No painting. That's grounds for eviction. So is making holes in the wall (besides thumb tacks).
