2 good color tips:

1. Go bright, don't be afraid of dark or bright colors!
2. Do something different, don't just paint your room one color - try shapes and techniques.

2 good color resources:

1. http://dailycolorscheme.com/

2. I always find inspiration in BEHR's brochure print outs at home depot.

Nice! Don't hit me but your sofa reminds me of old-school Fruit Stripe Bubble Gum, which I mean in the best of ways :) It made me smile and think of fruity happiness. Did that come out of the box that way or did you sew a slipcover? Love it. The green plants are lovely in that natural light, as is the coffee table.

The sofa totally said to me Fruit Stripe gum. Nice table and an interesting thing with the round rug trio beneath. What color are the walls?

Very cool couch, never seen one like that. Love the chair. They add a great dose of color. I really like the pictures hung over the window, that's different.

Interesting table- I have never seen one in that shape. I like the very subtle gray walls.

Love the sofa! It reminds me of the furniture from Todd Oldham's Handmade Modern book. Did you make it yourself?

wall color name, please! :)

Thanks Everyone!! :)

I'm not sure what the wall color is, it was an "oops" bucket at home depot and wasn't named. It's a lighter blueish gray.

I didn't make the sofa myself, I actually found it at an old furniture store for 100 bucks, I recovered it because when I bought it, it was denim blue.

The wall hangings are actually just little pieces I made out of oil pastels and felt. Hanging on wire with binder clips.

this actually is inviting. useful and not cluttered. it looks warmed; like someone lives in this space, but it's the kind of lived in look that isn't sloppy or uncoordinated. it gives me the impression that the owner is a person that i'd probably Enjoy meeting. simple and friendly. pleasant use of color. ...i also totally thought 'fruit striped gum' before seeing jennie's comment. :)

This is so fun and cute, you turned an old jaded lady on her ear. It's so sweet, I can't even bring myself to say one bad thing about it.
