I love your home and it looks like an awesome place to live, but the pictures looked washed out and it needs more defined color for this contest.

So pretty! I want my home to feel as calming as this one!

Love the bedroom, you know mustard goes well on a Chicago style dog.

I bet this is nice but I can't vote it an insta-finalist because I can't see enough of it. Those last 2 photos are pretty much the same, and the bedroom color came through in the first shot (love those pillows) so that second bedroom photo could have been of another space to give a better idea of the home and how it flows, works together, etc.

This is a lovely home, but looks a little neutral for the contest. Also, I can't help but think that it must seem awfully chilly to live here during those Michigan winters.

I like this, and think you've used color well to make such an historic home your own, without offending its period details. Please, please tell me the name of the green/gray in the bedroom!

I think this is an absolutely stunning home, but not exactly brimming with color. I find it very subdued and peaceful, but not right for this contest!

TaraEmelye- the color in the bedroom is actually just a bone white and I'm pretty sure the name was just 'bone'

Hmmm, I like all of the furnishings, and I even like to colors on the ways, but somehow all that white trim bugs me.

When the use of gray is done as well as it is here, it trumps any color you could choose. I'd rather see a thousand hues of gray than look at one of the disastrous, ill-conceived colors I've seen in other entries for this competition.

I like the way the putty color of the dining room sets off the photos - they really pop off the wall.

The first photo is stunning! I'd say the bedroom is a design contest winner - not sure about it being a colour contest winner. But it sure is purty!

I love it! I know people are wanting some "pop" but this is more appealing to me.

I love it, love the understated color. Where did you get the pillows on the bed? And wonderful way to echo the pillows in the art above. (yes, that pic just went in my Style folder).

the bedroom pillows and rugs are from Ikea. The living room rug is a Warhol rug (matchsticks) that you can find on lots of the online rug sites.

Ugggh... another casualty of flash photography. I'm sure the wall colors are gorgeous and deep - but flash just kills any subtlety. I'm glad that you chose a modern route for a farmhouse - something I still can't convince my parents to do. (they went the way of chintz, floral prints, and antiques). Even with the washed out photos I still think this needs some more vibrant colors - a rug here, a throw pillow there. Some bright, modern artwork on the walls!

But it isn't "colour." Not really.

Interesting modern interpretation of country living...i personally love the old farmhouses. The open windows and modern furniture are elegant and understated. The colors are not done justice by the photos, and probably the gray Michigan light, but just as well a very fine dwelling...well done.

I love the bedroom. Who needs competing color inside when there is all that greenery outside? Well, in the summer at least.
