Small Bathrooms from Ideal Standard

UK Home Ideas

031308uksmall.jpgReaching all the way back to 2005 (through '07), we found these varied small bath designs/ideas, shown at UK Home Ideas site, have design solutions/themes that still ring true for the spatially challenged:

We're especially intrigued by the teeniest "Space" bathroom (shown above, top left):
The Space range contains corner washbasins, short projection washbasins, toilets designed to fit into corners, toilets with angled seats, shorter but wider baths, and shower baths.

Wow, you call all of those small baths? I'd kill for something the size of the second or third rooms!

IT feels like everyone is on the same page - I was tired this week of the American kitchen and bath magazines - the usual stuff and I got a UK Kitchen Bath and Bedroom publication. I try to get them once in a while for a different kind or inspiration bcs I feel that the younger generation of designers try to marry real well traditional with modern in England - given that they have a lot of antiques and Europe being in the avangard of modern design...

Anyway this magazine was such an inspiration but a bit depressing bcs vanities and such had pricings and even if the GBP is more than twice to the US$, some things are more reasonable and seems easier to find let say a 24" modern and looking well made then it is to find here in the US.

Perfect example picture of bathroom with shower above, last summer we built a bathroom in the basement of our house - I needed a 32" square shower unit for the corner, it is impossible to find in the US standard, plate and glass encasement - everything had to be made custom... - which of course it is more expensive then ready produced...

The one on the upper right looks like a typical bath on a cruiseship...

We must redo a super small bath and I've been aware of ideal standard for smome time. I had thought, though, that Ideal Standard (vs. American Standard) wasn't available to the trade or retail in US metro areas. Am I wrong? I'd love to be!! reply, please! Thanks. Jsf

Wow! A couple of those rooms are bigger than any bathroom I have ever had and I have lived in a couple of quite large middle American houses.
