Flickr Finds: Art & Chel's Master Bath and Entryway Reno
Chicago

101008artcheltub.jpgWe've seen a lot of hard work over the months from Art and Chel...all with stunning results. Check out their finished master bath and entryway renovation. They write:
"It's been a long wait but the results are rewarding. The bamboo tub apron, vanity wall and entryway installation are made of bamboo ply. The entryway looks modern yet classic and the master bath with pebble stones and bamboo feels like an elegant spa."

The bamboo material is used in the entryway as a bit of a statement, showing off the use of green material in what could be considered a "high-end" application.

In the bathroom, the bamboo is an integral part of the earth and water theme.

What brand are the floor tiles? We are starting a floor re-do and are laying 12x24" tiles... Love the finish on them.

I thought that looked familiar!

Thanks for the kind reviews.

There are some details that still need to be finished.

jln--the shower rod is just temporary. I haven't decided on a glass setup yet. But we will put as minimal a glass door/wall as possible so not to obscure the wall.

walk--the tiles are 12 x 12 pebble tile just like this: http://www.naturalstoneoutlet.com/java.html
we bought them close to two years ago on clearance at a big home improvement store. The finish is just a high quality, spray-on, flat sealer.

Thanks again.

The bathroom is very easy to clean--there is nothing on the floor other than the toilet. The tile has a good seal so all it needs is an occasional dust bunny sweep and a simple mop.

You guys did a wonderful job! I would like to do a wood apron on the front of my tub, similar to your bamboo apron. Did you recess this back from the edge of the tub or did you mount it flush with the tub's edge? Just concerned if it's in line with the edge water will be an issue.
