AT reader Emmm shared with us some photos of her beautiful new apartment by tagging apartmenttherapymontreal on Flickr. Her place is a lovely mix of bright, modern updates with solid bones like the gorgeous old oak panel doors. One thing that stood out the most to us:

The front door is to die for. Oh, plants are great too!

Gorgeous! I should really start tagging my pictures on flickr! Subtle yet just enough. Well done :)

Gretchenalexis...you are correct, the plant is a pothos which is also knows as a variegated philodendron. I have 4 in my home (including a very, very cool lime green variety) and they are almost totally maintenance free and grow in almost no light. They just need to be watered every couple of weeks and they will grow slowly but steadily.

Ha ha... my pothos grows about a foot a week and is maybe 20 feet long. (Slight exaggeration.)

Thank you for posting this, I wasn't expecting it and thank you for all the compliments!
As for the plants, my mother gave them to me and I have no idea what they are. But the one in the bathroom grows fast!
ksydarling : The floating shelve is from IKEA...
