Flickr Finds: Flocked Paper

Back in March we posted about Amy's framed flocked wallpaper idea.

Also in March, we missed this one (left) uploaded into Flickr and tagged with apartmenttherapychicago: more flocked paper-turned-art by kimhas4cats.

We just went to a wedding shower over the weekend, and while it's safe and responsible to adhere to the gift registry, it's much more fun to deviate (especially when you know the honoree well).

My friend came up with something great using, yup, flocked wallpaper. She simply cut out a small section of some vintage orange/yellow paper, and framed it in a dark wood frame.

This way, the person on the receiving end can either keep it as a finished piece for the wall, or the wallpaper can serve as beautiful filler until the bride-to-be has a photo of her own to insert.
