Chandelier on St. Germain
Kathryn just posted several pics from her recent trip to Paris...she made sure to bring back shots of Parisian design shops for all of us to envy. There are more where these came from, but we picked a few beauties to post here. Thanks, Kathryn! Any other juicy info or observations you'd like to share??And just a reminder that if you've got some great things going on in your apartment (or see some great design out in the world), tag it with apartmenttherapychicago in Flickr, and we'll post you here on the front page.

Oh la la!
Wow, what can I say? Paris was tres fantastique (even though the weather was pretty lame).
We stayed in the 7th arr. and walking down St. Germain, it was just shop window after shop window of amazing displays!
Observations? No fat people, for one. Food (i.e., groceries) is very expensive. (Perhaps the two are related?!)
While we didn't go to any 3-star restaurants, I did notice that the food we ate seemed to have so much more flavor than the food here.
I love the Hausmann-style buildings; I imagine that there are some spectacular apartments there!
Thanks for bringing me back the Chocolate covered cheese from Hevin, in a word... DIVINE!
Ah, Paris!
hey kathryn, do you know if the chandelier is available states side? it's gorgeous! thanks for sharing pics.
Lisa,
It looks pretty similar to this one at DWR: http://www.dwr.com/productdetail.cfm?id=3938
If you're in Chicago, I would try Lightology or Luminaire.
Good luck - I love that red chandelier, too!
will do! thanks so much for the leads!
