Flickr Finds: Looper Empties His Chicago Loft

091807looper2.jpg

AT friend, Devyn (aka Looper), emptied his Chicago loft over the weekend. As he trades Chicago for New York, we were happy to see how this Loop-loving designophile lived in his 8 years here. See more pics below from Spring of '07 - when the loft was still full.

Nice! I'm sure his new home will be just as cool (if a bit smaller).

I don't need an address or anything, but approximately where is this in Chicago? I love it.

LOVE it!!! What a cool, perfect space! It must be sad to leave such an amazing space. When do we get to see the new NY digs?

I did that hanging pot rack thing over my counter too.
Love it.
Kind of like a stainless-steel chandelier in my kitchen.

Thanks everybody...

My Chicago loft was on State and Washington in the Loop (above Nordstrom Rack). I lived there for four years. It was definitely a special (albeit small for Chicago) space. I will miss it much.

I am still looking for a place in NYC, and based upon what I have been looking at this week, it will be much smaller (and no where near as nice). Which will mean that I need to work even harder to make it mine. I will share it as soon as I can.

Keisha, it wasn't as crowded as it looks.

The crystal chandelier was assembled from three fixtures I bought at ABC Carpet and Home's former DUMBO location a few years ago. I had to leave it behind for the buyer.
