Flickr Finds: t8_1974's Chair from Scout

T8_1974 scored this fantastic chair at Scout (along with its twin). After living with them for a bit in the dining room, t8_1974 moved them into the living room, where they now just feel right. Read more about the living room scene:

Changing out the lights next to the couch made all the difference in the room. The lamps' rust body color somehow brings the warmth out of the taupe wall color and seems to make the sofa / wall color combo work better than it normally does. The black lampshades create a nice contrast.

Love the ambiance of this room! And I love the efficiency of the side table. I'm looking for something similar, a slightly larger one with just a top and bottom shelf, to replace the one I currently have so I can have a better landing strip.

I'm undergoing a complete home-makeover (story of my life these days) and have been moving things all over the place. I'm continually surprised to discover that I already have a piece that work well and don't need to shop for something new. There's an article in this month's Domino about a designer and her collection of beautiful things -- like a bedroom rug that became a living area rug that became and entry rug, depending on where she lived througout her life.

Goes to show that investment pieces are worthwhile for durability and timeless design elements.
