Flickr Finds: Familiar Flowers in Black

blackcoverb62408.jpgAll the luscious coverage of dark walls led us here. If you are afraid of dark paint or paper, consider plants you already know and will love again in black (or blackish). More after the jump.

Anything but garden variety, these are striking and accessible. Plant alone or pair with bright yellows, deep reds or electric greens.

Look for more exotic but equally growable plants with a dark side tomorrow.

Black plants are weird. But they do add depth and interest to the garden.

I love them. Black, red and white holly hocks would look so striking in a mass planting.
