Kikkerland Grass Mat: The Anti-Garden

2006-06-19-grassmat.jpg
Not everyone has a green thumb. Not everyone wants to nurture nature along. Some folks want their green space to come in a set of six, packed in a pvc box with a carrying handle.

Kikkerland comes through for them with the Grass Mat set. Pure simulated lawn of clover and daisies, each interlocking square is 12X12.

Available from shiptheweb.com for $16.95.

Anybody know of other types of fake grass that might be suitable to use on a rooftop? I don't want to go with the cheap looking artificial turf, something closer to this without the flowers would be nice.

This makes me sad inside - like I just finished washing down a TV Dinner with a plastic "glass" of box wine.

I love it in the box as an art piece.

i think i might order this to use for my bedroom rug until i can afford something really nice.

and then after that, i think it would be hilarious and ironic used as a picnic blanket, especially for outdoor concerts and such.

it could also be interesting stuck on the wall...

sorry. i have had a love affair with astroturf ever since i noticed that the Brady Bunch's backyard wasn't really so much an exterior location...

I think I want my whole studio floor covered in that. Does it come in any other colors/flowers?

Is that for your balcony? It's like hipster astroturf.
