Sculptor Paula Hayes' clever planters, created with translucent silicone, are both quirky and ethereal. Made to resemble baby booties and coming in various sizes from tiny to backyard garden-sized, perhaps they serve to remind us that nature and children often go hand-in-hand.
We love the charming effect Hayes' group of assorted minis give when grouped together and placed on her silicone trays.

The large booties walk the fine line between whimsical and absurd, but completely work. We can only imagine how wonderful a garden resplendent with Hayes' planters must look.
i think the little ones would make a cute baby shower decoration idea
the BIG ones....not as cute

As much as I love the concept - and the boundary pushing - the only thing I can think of after looking at that first photograph is "baby mosquito breeding."

Hee! I guess it still fits with the baby theme.
