Super Small: Desktop Gardening

It just feels good to grow something, somewhere.

Branch Home has these teeny (3.5 inch diameter) indoor gardens that you can literally start on a desktop.

Made in Japan, these tiny aluminum tins hold black sand soil and seeds. Open, water, enjoy! When your plant grows up, move to a large pot or outdoors proudly.

Available in Clover (above), Bonsai, Christmas Tree, Prairie, and Cactus for $12.

The Egg plants work much the same way. The pre-seeded soil is sealed inside the unglazed ceramic egg. Tap gently to break the top and you are on your way to an herb garden. Available in Thyme (right), Lemon Balm, Mint, Chamomile, Parsley and Basil for $14.

Online at Branch Home.

If you need immediate gratification Sprout has these as well along with very cute animal eggs that have wheat grass in them for kids. Willow also carries the garden in the bag and I have more oregano plants then I know what to do with.
