3) Our apartment is the top floor of an 1890's house; previous tenants used some wretched paint (still visible from certain angles) and our landlord has outlawed our *totally reasonable* color choices to ban painting altogether. Our walls are made of some spongy material that either loosely holds nails or rejects them altogether. As a result, our apartment walls are mostly bare and/or full of attempted holes: http://bp1.blogger.com/_s274hMEbODo/RtxAQ5NAdXI/AAAAAAAAADU/DriB11k-bag/s1600-h/0G0I7245.jpg

We just renewed our lease for another year and we'd love to update our place with something that won't get us kicked out or require spackle. What say you?

1...Maggie
2...the Matthew Haggett spheres, for sure! Multicolor pack and 16" midnite pack. (I've been coveting them for months.)
3...Why? Because my poor little 1930s cottage is totally lacking in architectural detail to compliment my midcentury furniture collection, and I'm forbidden to paint the boring eggshell walls! And because the AT post is going to look so good with pix of my vintage art deco rattan and original Scandinavian furniture in front of my newly-Blikked walls!

3. My gypsy blood forces me to move a lot... from city to city, from country to country, the wall decals would be simply wonderful for the flat that I am temporarily calling home

3. I'm in grad school and living in a place that I can't paint. When I moved in, the apartment featured strange stains on the walls, sticky floors, and dirt everywhere. Lots of elbow grease got it to the point where it feels clean, but the blik decals would help make it Apartment Therapy worthy.

3. Because, right now there's a cheap basketball hoop on the wall (it was hung when I wasn't looking), the radiator cover could use some disguising and the whole room just needs a little more elegance.

And because I could do this with that...

3) What I'd like to do is create a scene of flying birds on the bare wall in my bedroom. This semester is so busy I will scarcely leave the drab walls and I feel the Blik could brighten up my study zone. I would use one of the Mod circles and the Flock decals to create a sun and place the birds all over my wall to make a lovely picture that not only covers up the terrible painted-over wood paneling that curses my room, but also adds a big personal touch. I'm stuck here for another year, I might as well make the best of it!

3. I just moved to Chicago from Rhode Island into an apartment that is less than half of the size I was promised (and we've been squabbling with the landlord.) I am trying to make it my own but I cannot paint, and it just doesn't feel like home. These decals would go far to liven up my drab space. I'd put the bamboo in my living room which has a bamboo theme going on already (thanks to a screen we have and a bunch of real plants), the iron vines in the bedroom, and the fly in my study, which is also where I do yoga and which desperately needs a little calming influence. I've just gone back to school and am going to be rather old for it, and am also going to have no income :) Can't afford to decorate much on my own.

3. Fresh out of college, I am excited to start decorating my own place and to make it my home. Unfortunately, I was just laid off from my job on Tuesday and have to really watch my spending. While my primary focus must now be on things like paying for rent and groceries, I still want my place to look nice while I search for a new job! Right now I have plain eggshell walls, and I'd love something to really make the place pop.

2.Bamboo - tan , Fly - gray midnight combo Iron Vines - Midnight

3.I have a long, narrow hallway at the entrance of my apartment. The walls are bare and it is kind of wasted space right now, but has potential to be interesting. I would place the bamboo decals up to the middle of the walls and add some of the fly near the top.

The second space is my bedroom. I have a lot of bare walls and would like to add something dramatic. I think the Iron vines in midnight would look great as i have some black accents in that room already.

3. I'm a grad student with basically no budget for decorating. Most of my walls are blank due to no money and not being able to put any holes in the walls or paint (my rental company is pretty strict). These wall clings would be a great way to separate my living spaces and to help liven up my apartment (which is an important thing during the gloomy Michigan winter!). The Mod clings would be great over my dining table and the Fly clings would be great over my futon. Both the table and the futon are on the same wall, so using the clings would be great to create a visual separation between the two spaces. The Flock clings would make a wonderful headboard where currently there is nothing. My walls are so white and boring... they need your help!

3. I am a college freshman who is living in a pretty classic first year's dorm. Complete with cinder block walls that the college so nicely painted white. I'm guessing you can understand why I'm desperately searching for any sort of decor because you can only scotch tape so many "upcoming campus events" fliers and pictures from home before the depressing state of my humble cube with industrial carpet and stained ceiling becomes just a little too much to bear.

3. I'm a new stay-at-home (aka on a budget, aka, broke) mom who is desperately trying to make my son's nursery a fun, stimulating room. The chandelier decals would work perfectly in his room on the wall opposite his crib, as I made his bedding out of a scrap of Michael Miller's "Chandelier" fabric. The Iron Vines would look great in the bathroom which is white, white, white (tile and walls). We aren't allowed to paint anything. Help me (and Super Eli) break away from all this blah!

3. I am a writer who spends a LOT of time in my office which is painted a stark white. My wife keeps bugging me to paint my walls, but I like my all-white mod inspired room. A great compromise would be to use the Bamboo decals along the bottom my largest white wall (and hang some framed artwork above)...

I think I can show my Hollywood Regency-lovin' wife that mod is as playful as it is elegant.

3. Blik is perfect for someone like me. I have an irrational fear of hanging framed items on my wall using nails b/c I'm too afraid of them falling down at inoppurtune times and/or breaking things below (including my head while I sleep). The few things on my wall are held up w/ poster tape. I don't want to paint since I know I'm moving within 9 months so I'm stuck w/ boring white walls.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/13292018@N02/1363043427/in/photostream/
I have grown out of the band posters but I don't want to leave the walls bare.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/13292018@N02/1363043443/in/photostream/
The poster on my desk is propped against the wall and still in its original (ripping) plastic packaging. The magazine ad and 4 small photos were added on a whim to make the walls seem less empty.

I would replace the two band posters above my bed w/ Fly. They would be peaceful to look at while lying in bed or falling asleep (I'm weird and sleep w/ my head towards the lamp, not the wall). I would put Iron Vines on the wall above the cabinet and the wall the desk is facing. Possibly also on the cabinet doors. It would be nice to break up all the boxy rectangular shapes of the cabinet, shelves and desk w/ the curvilinear vines. I might actually hang up the poster but get rid of the ad & photos. Possibly make a headboard shape if any are leftover b/c I don't have a bedframe.
