Romantic Bedroom Week: Jade's Newlywed Bed

2008-02-13-jade.jpg
Name: Jade
Location: Austin

Jade sent us in this photo of her room to enter our Romantic Bedroom Giveaway. She says, "I like our bedroom because it is full of natural light and soothing colors (I love all white, but my huband wouldnt go for it). Having reminders of each other in our bedroom really does turn up the romance....

...the frame behind the nightstand is our seating chart from our wedding, and the framed birds is a card my husband gave me the day of our wedding.

If I had to give anyone advice on attaining a bedroom they are happy with it is that you dont have to spend a lot of money. My husband and I are both graduate students. Buy things that are meaningful to you and make the best out of what you have. You would be amazed!"

Romantic Bedroom Tip: "I try to keep my husband and I's bedroom clutter free and all about us. Therefore, there are only pictures of us in it and little reminders of our wedding day. Even though we are just now starting our lives together there should be no reason why we cant find our bedroom a place to unwind at the end of a long day."

Thanks, Jade!

Where did you get your bedspread? I'm looking for something like this. Many thanks, Ann

The bedspread looks like the box-stitched quilt from Restoration Hardware, which is currently on sale:

the bed spread is from the hotel collection. It was a TJ maxx find for $29. The "nightstand" next to the bed is from pottery barn. We went to college in a town that had a pottery barn outlet. This was a good $50 find too. This piece of furniture is great. We have used it in the living room, bathroom, and now bedroom of this place.
