Glass Vases by Stephen Schlangser: Perfect Patterns

051408vase2.jpgThroughout May, Stephen Schlangser's glass works are on display and for sale at Sawbridge Studio: Inspired by patterns found in nature, Schlangser’s etchings add visual interest and texture to simple geometric squares. Leaf designs for the bud vases include Maple, Oak, Pecan, Ginko and Aspen:

Hmm...not for me. Plus, to keep flowers fresh you'd have to add water like every 30 minutes or something.

Cute, but the price, ugh.

You could buy some glass block at Home Depot (the kind used for windows. They'll hold a lot of water, too. If you must have butterflies or leaves on them, you could paint or use an etching kit.

There..........I saved someone $100! LOL

Why, oh why, did he have to put in those patterns! I can appreciate where he was going but the darn patterns snatch bad design from the jaws of good design.
